Early 4th of July Celebration
 February 23, 2010 – The 234th anniversary of American independence will be marked on July 4, 2010. Due to the warm weather in the Gulf, American Embassies and Consulates celebrate this important anniversary in February, linking the reception to the Presidents Day holiday.

Consul General Provides Overview of US-UAE Relationship to Georgetown Students
 February 28, 2010 – Consul General Justin Siberell spoke with 48 members of Georgetown University’s Global Executive MBA program about the highlights of the strong US-UAE relationship.

Record U.S. Exhibitors at Gulfood
 February 21, 2010 – Consul General Justin Siberell joins the Regional Director of the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office, David Williams, to open the U.S. Pavilion at Gulfood 2010. The U.S. Pavilion featured a record 110 U.S. exhibitors.

American Education Expo Introduces Students to American Universities
 February 25, 2010 – The Consulate General’s EducationUSA office participated in the American Education Expo, which attracted over 20 American universities to Dubai. Students and parents received information about student visas, educational advising, and had the chance to speak with university representatives.

A Conversation about Economic Partnership Between the United States and the Arab
 February 16, 2010 – Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal S. Wolin hosted a conversation at Dubai School of Government about the state of the global economy and the importance of cooperation between the United States and the Arab world

Contributions of African Americans
 February 18, 2010 – Members of the Consulate General’s Public Affairs Section hosted a Black History Month program at the American Corner at HCT Fujairah Women’s College. Using multi-media and print tools, the program highlighted the important role of African Americans in U.S. History.

Consul General and Consulate Staff Cheer on Team USA Cricket at Match in Dubai
 February 11, 2010 – Consul General Justin Siberell and Consulate General staff members supported the United States national cricket team in their match against Afghanistan. Consul General Siberell congratulated Team USA for their effort against the victorious Afghans – who will now move on to the Semi Final round of the World T20 Qualifier.

Web Chat on February 3rd about the Science and Impacts of Climate Change
 February 3, 2010 – Dr. John P. Holdren, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, will host a Web Chat about the science and impacts of climate change.

Team USA Cricket in Dubai
 February 2, 2010 – The U.S. Cricket Association Senior Men’s Team will compete in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in Abu Dhabi and Dubai February 9 – 13.

Consulate General Supports Career Day at Sharjah American International School
 January 26, 2010 – The U.S. Consulate General in Dubai participated in the career day that was held at the Sharjah American International School.

Consul General speaks at World Trade Club about U.S. Policy in the Region
 January 19, 2010 – Justin Siberell spoke about the U.S. –UAE relationship, and about key policy priorities of the Obama Administration in this region.
