Public Announcement: New Online Visitor Visa Appointment System for Residents of Iran

Effective immediately, the Consulate General of the United States of America in Dubai, UAE is pleased to announce that residents of Iran may schedule a visa appointment online at:  https://evisaforms.state.gov/default.asp?postcode=DB2&appcode=3.  For specific instructions on scheduling an appointment for a visa interview please visit our website at: http://dubai.usconsulate.gov.

Only residents of Iran may make an appointment using the noted website (https://evisaforms.state.gov/default.asp?postcode=DB2&appcode=3); this website is, to repeat, reserved for persons who are physically resident in Iran.  Cancelled appointments will NOT be available for rebooking.  This means that once an appointment slot is reserved it will NOT be available again.  The Consulate General will monitor the online system and will stop scheduling appointments if fraudulent use of the online system is detected.

UAE residents of any nationality should continue to schedule visa appointments online at: https://evisaforms.state.gov/default.asp?postcode=DUB&appcode=3.  Applicants resident in the UAE also may read specific instructions for scheduling an appointment for a visa interview by visiting our website at:  http://dubai.usconsulate.gov.

The U.S. Consulate General reminds all visa applicants that there is NO/NO additional fee to schedule an appointment, and visa applicants should not pay any company or entity to schedule an appointment.  All visa applicants pay a one-time, nonrefundable fee of $131 for the visa application itself.  This fee is payable exclusively through designated branches of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi.  Please see our website for designated branch locations.

All nonimmigrant visa applicants, including for tourism, business or other short-term stays, require an appointment for an interview.

All applicants 14 years of age or above must have their own online visa appointment. Parents may apply for children under 14 years of age by making an online visa appointment and appearing for an interview on their behalf. Children under 14 who are resident in UAE should not appear at the Consulate for their visa interview. Children under 14 who hold Iranian passports or are not resident in UAE must appear at the Consulate for their visa interview.
