Barbecue hosted by American Consulate and American Business Council of Dubai
On February 19th the U.S. Consulate General Dubai partnered with the American Business Council (ABC) of Dubai and the Northern Emirates to host a barbecue for Dubai’s American community at the ABC’s headquarters in Barsha. The event gave the American community access to the Consulate’s American Citizen Services at a convenient location outside of the Consulate General, including passport renewal, voter registration and notarial services. More than 100 people registered to vote and more than 50 people either renewed their passports or notarized documents. Other organizations represented at the event included the American Women’s Association, the USO, and several local health care providers. The Consulate General plans to build on the success of the barbecue by partnering with the ABC on future outreach efforts to serve Dubai’s American community.
