UAE Entry Makes the Finals of the Democracy Video Challenge – The Winner is Up to You!
May 15, 2009 – The Democracy Video Challenge is about to enter its final phase, and a UAE entry has made the finals! We asked people around the world to create short videos completing the phrase "Democracy Is…", and over 900 contestants from 95 countries submitted their ideas.
A distinguished panel of jurors representing film, media, academia, democracy promotion and youth empowerment selected 21 finalists, including one entry from the UAE.
Now it is your turn to help select the winner. Six video producers – one from each region of the world – will win an all-expense-paid trip to New York, Washington and Hollywood. In addition, there will be an anonymous winner. The choice is in your hands – will the UAE represent the Mideast in Hollywood?
