Passports For Adults

First-Time Adult Passport Issuance:

First-time adult passports are generally issued to persons between the ages of 16 and 21 who will be receiving their first 10-year U.S. passport. Occasionally, first-time adult passports are also issued to persons above age 21. Persons above age 21 planning to apply for a first-time passport are asked to contact the ACS Section for more information.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • A completed Form DS-11: Application for a U.S. Passport or Registration
  • A current or expired U.S. passport; 
    •  If not available, one form of photo identification (e.g. a passport of another country, driver’s license) AND one of the following: (A) a certified, sealed birth certificate (B) a Consular Report of Birth Abroad or (C) Certificate of Naturalization 
  • Two passport photographs taken within the last six months measuring 2" x 2", (Please read the Photo Requirements for U.S. Passports for more details) 
  • Adult first-time passport fee: 371 AED ($75 issuance fee + $25 execution fee).

Adult Passport Renewal: 

Applicants must submit the following documents:

Lost or Stolen Passport Replacements: 
Applicants for a replacement passport are required to present:

  • A completed Form DS-11: Application for a U.S. Passport or Registration
  • A completed DS-64: Statement Regarding Lost Or Stolen Passport
  • A U.A.E. police report with an English language translation
  • Proof of identity: a photo ID, such as a U.S. or U.A.E driver’s license; a current passport from another country; older or expired IDs, such as student ID or previous licenses are useful if current ones are not available
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship: an original, sealed birth certificate with a filing number; an old canceled U.S. Passport; or a Certificate of Naturalization 
  • Two passport photographs taken within the last six months measuring 2" x 2", (Please read the Photo Requirements for U.S. Passports for more details)

  • Adult passport replacement fee: 371 AED ($75 issuance fee + $25 execution fee).
