About the Consulate

Listed below are the official U.S. holidays and the estimated UAE holidays that Embassy Abu Dhabi and Consulate General Dubai will observe during calendar year 2008.

 

The UAE government and religious authorities adjust dates of observance for some local holidays.  Therefore, dates may vary from the estimates below.  If a UAE holiday falls on a weekend day, an adjacent work day will not be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes unless the UAE authorities so declare.
