Former Secretary of State Colin Powell Pays Courtesy Visit on Staff of U.S. Consulate General in Dubai
On November 29, 2006, former Secretary of State Colin Powell paid a courtesy visit to the staff of the U.S. Consulate General in Dubai. Secretary Powell was in the city to attend the Leaders in Dubai Business Forum. During his brief time at the Consulate, the former Secretary toured the offices, greeted staff and autographed books.
The former Secretary, accompanied by Ambassador Sison, Consul General Paul Sutphin and Commercial Officer Patrick Wall, also called on His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and visited the Dubai Health Care City project for a meeting with Tatweer Chairman Sa’id al Muntafiq and senior DHCC managers.
