MEPI Legal and Business Fellowship Program
Application Deadline is December 18, 2008
The Legal and Business Fellowship Program (LBFP) provides young women in business, law and science and technology an opportunity to practice their skills and gain experience to help them grow as professionals and advocate for an improved investment climate and legal reforms.
The four-month program will be conducted in the United States from April 21, 2009 to August 18, 2009.
Eligible applicants will be considered through a transparent merit-based process that will identify leaders with strong English language skills who demonstrate maturity, flexibility, and commitment to their professional goals.
Women from under-served and under-represented populations are strongly encouraged to apply.

Grant Benefits
The LBFP grant is limited to covering the program costs outlined below. All other costs are the responsibility of the grantee.
• Round trip airfare to the United States and to the fellowship sites
• Academic fees
• Accident and sickness insurance
• Housing (to be shared with another female participant)
• Daily stipend
In addition, grantees will be provided J-1 visa support, ongoing program monitoring while in the U.S., and, at the successful conclusion of the U.S. program, alumnae networking opportunities in their home countries.
The MEPI Legal and Business Fellowship Program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by AMIDEAST.
