Passport Renewals
 

Applicants must personally appear at the U.S. Consulate for all passport services. We highly recommend that you fill out the required forms online, before coming into the U.S. Consulate, by following the links below. If you are applying for a passport for a child under age 16, both parents and the child must be present unless one parent presents an original court order for sole custody, a death certificate for the other parent, or a notarized Statement of Consent or Special Circumstances from the absent parent.

To apply for a passport, please make an appointment on our online appointment system and bring the following on the scheduled day:

There are 4 types of passport renewals:

Applicant is Under Age 16

  • Original birth certificate (with English translation if applicable) or original adoption decree, and one copy
  • Applicant’s most recent passport, and one copy of the passport bio data page
  • Parents’ valid passports or government-issued photo IDs, and one copy of the passport bio data page
  • DS-11 passport form (fill out online and print)
  • 2 passport photos
  • Fees: 388 AED

Applicant is Over Age 16 AND Most Recent Passport was Valid for 5 Years

Applicant is Over Age 16 AND Most Recent Passport was Valid for 10 Years

Most Recent Passport is Less than 1 Year Old and Needs Correction

  • Applicant’s most recent passport, and one copy of the passport bio data page
  • Evidence supporting change in identifying information (e.g., marriage certificate, amended birth certificate, court order, etc.), and one copy
  • DS-5504 passport form (fill out online and print)
  • 2 passport photos
  • Fees: no charge if current passport was not a “no fee” passport

The Consulate requests that applicants present original documents along with accompanying photocopies of all the original documents when submitting their application.  The Consulate will charge AED 4.00 per copy.
